Chapters Health Foundation to Hold 3rd Annual Rock the Dock Event
Virtual disco presented by USI Insurance Services will support pediatric palliative medicine program
Chapters Health Foundation will hold its third annual “Rock the Dock” event presented by USI Insurance Services on Saturday, October 24, 2020 in support of Chapters Health System’s Pediatric Palliative Medicine program. For the first time in the event’s history, the innovative fundraiser will feature a virtual night of disco fever with world renowned DJ Kopec to ensure the safety of all guests.
Viewers can break out their boogie shoes and tune in live from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to dance along with DJ Kopec and his following of more than 50,000 individuals from across the globe, and enjoy cocktails and conversations with Cyndi Edwards, former co-host of “Daytime” on WFLA. The evening also includes trivia, silent and live auctions, photo contests and more!
“We are so excited to take our signature Rock the Dock event virtual this year and looking forward to bringing down the house with Virginia Tech HOKIE Alumni DJ Kopec as our master of ceremonies. This virtual event will be the first of its kind for Chapters Health Foundation as we will have a national and global audience,” said Adam Stanfield, vice president of development and executive director of Chapters Health Foundation.
Recast from the organization’s Island Night, Rock the Dock had its debut in 2018 at the Julian B. Lane River Center along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa. Located adjacent to the University of Tampa and directly on the water, the skyline of Tampa provided a unique backdrop for the evening event. The event has grown each year since inception with donation revenues exceeding $100,000 and $125,000 respectively.
This year’s Rock the Dock is an opportunity to support the organization’s specialized pediatric palliative medicine program, which optimizes the quality of life of young patients so every child can experience his or her best days possible.
